Jason Zuo

Chapter Member-Guangdong China

Jason Zuo is a Year 12 student at an international school in China with strong academic interests in mathematics, physics, human geography, and computer science. He is passionate about leveraging media and technology to share knowledge and experiences, to make education more accessible and engaging for others.
In the summer of 2025, during field research and interviews in Daliangshan, China, he observed that many local students and ethnic minority community members face challenges in learning standard Mandarin pinyin, which further compounds their overall learning difficulties. To help address this issue, he and his team have developed a free HTML pinyin-learning game that gamifies the learning process and incorporates elements of ethnic minority culture. His team hope to attract more volunteers to join their effort, working together to advocate for and protect playful, accessible education for students who need it most.
