Kevin Chen

Chapter Lead-Guangdong China

Kevin Chen is a distinguished Grade 12 student at an international school in China, known for his strong passion for programming, mathematics, and community service. He advanced in the AMC 12 during Grade 10 and scored an impressive 8 on the AIME, while also achieving a Distinction in BMO 1. In the HiMCM competition, he took charge of the algorithm, design, and principles components. On the programming front, he participated in USACO last year, earned the Silver level. He is also a participant in the Qiu Cheng-Tong Science Award in computer science. Besides his STEM accomplishments, Kevin has received school-level awards for his photography.
He is an active outdoors enthusiast, having earned the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award. Demonstrating strong social commitment, Kevin consistently organizes charitable activities for children, such as offering free coding tutoring to children on remote islands.
