Qinyan Li

QINYAN LI is an AS-level student at an international school in Shenzhen with academic interests in applied mathematics, statistics, and the human sciences. Her interests are driven by a desire to understand educational inequality through both quantitative perspectives and direct engagement with communities, and to explore ways to make learning more accessible for underserved students.
In the summers of 2024 and 2025, QINYAN participated in field research in Daliangshan, China, where she engaged with local students and families from ethnic minority communities. Through firsthand observation and conversations, she developed a deeper understanding of the educational barriers many students face, including language challenges, limited resources, and unequal access to opportunities.
